Niemieckie fortyfikacje Stellung a2
i ich przełamanie w styczniu 1945 r.
Na linii Raby, Szreniawy i Pilicy.
Kolejna publikacja mojego autorstwa dotycząca linii fortyfikacji Stellung a2, tym razem obejmuje rejon między Bochnią a Przedborzem a ściślej opisano to co wydarzyło się od lata 1944 r. do czasu przejścia frontu w styczniu 1945 r. Opisany fragment linii dotyczy rejonu od Bochni, dalej wzdłuż biegu rzeki Raby a po przejściu na północną stronę rzeki Wisły wzdłuż biegu rzeki Szreniawy do Proszowic. Następnie rejon przy Szreniawie do Słomnik i Miechowa. Dalej na północ to już rejon Żarnowca, Szczekocin, Koniecpola i Przedborza.
Głównym tematem książki są umocnienia wybudowane przez okupanta w końcowym okresie okupacji na tym terenie. Przez ostatnie kilka lat prowadzone były dość intensywne prace badawcze, prowadzone głównie w terenie. Postanowiono odszukać każdy zachowany fragment linii. Nie tylko obiekty żelbetonowe ale też relikty okopów, rowów przeciwczołgowych, miejsca w których wybudowane były schrony o konstrukcji drewniano – ziemnej. W trakcie prac terenowych przeprowadzono wywiady z osobami pamiętającymi lata budowy umocnień jak i czasu działań wojennych. Treści rozmów w większości zostały zapisane na cyfrowe nośniki danych a następnie skrupulatnie spisane. Wspomnienia te były bardzo cennym materiałem, gdyż pokazały w sposób prosty i zrozumiały dla czytelnika to, co wydarzyło się w obrębie linii Stellung a2. Część wspomnień dotyczy czasu rozpoczęcia prac, poprzez budowę umocnień a kończąc na przejściu frontu. Kolejne wspomnienia to już okres po zakończeniu działań wojennych. Podjęto próbę pokazania tego, co już działo się po styczniu 1945 r., przede wszystkim wypadki przy obchodzeniu się z materiałami niebezpiecznymi, pozostającymi w obrębie linii.
W publikacji znajdują się tez informacje pochodzące z dzienników bojowych jednostek Armii Czerwonej walczących o przełamanie tej linii, co tylko wzbogaca materiał zawarty w publikacji. Ponadto pokazano też straty wojsk walczących w konflikcie, miejsca pochowków a także już same informacje o ekshumacjach, kończąc na pracach mających na celu porządkowanie grobów wojennych prowadzonych w ostatnich latach.
W publikacji znajduje się duża ilość fotografii. Zamieszczono przede wszystkim fotografie zachowanych obiektów, fotografie archiwalne a także dokumenty pochodzące z lat okupacji. Dołączono też mapy z zaznaczonymi obiektami. Do publikacji została załączona płyta CD, na której znajdują się fotografie wszystkich obiektów, które zostały opisane w tekście.

German fortifications A2 Stellung and their breakthrough in January 1945.
The line of the river Raba, Szreniawa and Pilica.
This is the next publication of my authorship which involve the line of A2 Stellung fortifications, this time embracing the area between Bochnia and Przedbórz and describes more specifically what happened since the summer of 1944 until crossing the front line in January 1945. Described fragment of the line refers to the area of Bochnia, continue along the river Raba and after going to the northern side of the Vistula river, alongside the river Szreniawa to Proszowice. Then the area at Szreniawa to Słomniki and Miechów. Further to the north is already area of Żarnowie, Szczekocin, Koniecpol and Przedbórz.
The main topic of this book are fortifications built by the Nazis’s invaders in the final period of the occupation in this area. Over the last few years, there were conducted quite intensive researches, carried out mainly in this region. It was decided to find every preserved fragment of the line. Not only a reinforced concrete objects but also relics of trenches, antitank ditches, places where shelters with wood and earth construction were built. During the field researches, there were carried out interviews with people who still remember the years of building fortifications and time of warfare. The conversations were mostly recorded on the digital storage media and then carefully written up. These memories were a very valuable material, because they showed to the reader in a simple and understandable way what happened within the A2 Stellung line. Part of memories concern on the start of construction works, then on the build of fortifications and the passage of the front line in the end . Next memories include a period after the end of hostilities. An attempt was made to show what has already happened after January 1945, primarily the accidents of handling with the hazardous materials, which were remaining within the line.
Also the book contain the information derived from the logs of combat troops of the Red Army, who were fighting to break the line, which only enriches the material included in this publication. Moreover, this thesis presents the loss of troops fighting in the conflict, burial places, the information about the exhumation and in the end shows the works which were carried out in recent years whose aim were to organize the war graves.
The publication includes a large number of photographs. First of all book contains photographs of preserved buildings, archival photographs and documents from the years of occupation. The publication also includes maps of marked objects. CD, which includes photographs of all the objects that are described in the text, is enclosed to the book.

Die deutsche Stellung a2 und der Durchbruch im Januar 1945
An den Flüssen Raba, Szreniawa und Pilica.
Eine weitere Ausgabe von mir beinhaltet die befestigte a2 Stellung zwischen Bochnia und Przedborz. Darin beschreibe ich den Ablauf der Ereignisse von 1944 bis zum Durchbruch im Januar 1945. Besonderen Augenmerk erfuhren die Abschnitte bei Bochnia, entlang des Flusses Raba, nach dem Nordknick der Weichsel weiter entlang der Flüsse Szreniawa bis Proszowice, weiter ab Szreniawa nach Slomik und Miechow. Weiter wird das Gebiet Zarnowiec, Szczekocin, Koniecpola und Przedborz beschrieben.
Viel Raum nehmen die von den Deutschen gebauten Befestigungen ein. Dazu wurden in den letzten Jahren viele Untersuchungen vor Ort vorgenommen um jedes noch erhaltene Detail zu erfassen. Das betraf nicht nur betonierte Anlagen, sondern auch Reste von Schützengräben, Panzergräben, Plätze von Schutzunterständen. Es wurden Interviews mit noch lebenden Zeitzeugen geführt. Diese erwiesen sich als ausgezeichnetes Material da es in einfacher und verständlicher Sprache die Ereignisse im Zusammenhang beginnend mit dem Bau bis zum Durchbruch durch die a2 Linie. Es fanden auch Ereignisse nach dem Januar 1945 Eingang in die Beschreibung, besonders im Zusammenhang mit den in den Stellungen verbliebenen Kriegsmaterialien.
Es fanden ebenso Eingang Informationen aus den Kriegstagebüchern der Roten Armee die an diesem Frontabschnitt kämpfte, wie auch Angaben über die Verluste, Begräbnisstätten, durchgeführte Umbettungen als auch über die in den letzten Jahren durchgeführten Arbeiten zur Pflege und Erhaltung der Kriegsgräberstätten.
Dieser Ausgabe wurde ein Vielzahl von Fotografien beigefügt, Es sind dies Fotografien der erhaltenen Teile der a2 Linie, Fotos aus Archiven und von Dokumenten aus der Besatzungszeit. Es fehlt auch nicht an erklärenden Karten.
Dieser Ausgabe ist eine CD mit Abbildungen aller im Text beschriebenen Objekte beigefügt.
